Soft washing is a gentle exterior cleaning method that uses low-pressure water, biodegradable detergents, and surfactants to safely remove mold, mildew, algae, dirt, and grime from delicate surfaces like roofs, siding, and decks, unlike high-pressure cleaning that can cause damage. It works by killing the organisms with cleaning solutions and then rinsing away the dead buildup, leaving surfaces cleaner for longer.
What differs us from many other Soft Wash Operators?
While many other soft wash operators may offer a similar service, most of the other operators are using a much higher Sodium Hypochlorite content, Sodium Hypochlorite is liquid pool Chlorine.
While is is wildly used in many cleaning and sanitizing industries as well is the main active ingredient in most roof and house washing cleaning agents.
The general advise for operators in this industry is about 1-2% Sodium hypochlorite concentration for a house wash situation and some times they might use a 6%+ mix on surfaces like roofs or concrete surfaces, which can cause many range of issues.
High Sodium hypochlorite content can cause oxidization on painted and powder coated surfaces, as well as kill plants, worms and other wildlife if used incorrectly.
Here at Steve's Professional Cleaning Services I use non-hazardous biodegradable high performance surfactants boosted with a bio cleaner. My house was mix contains between 0.25-0.5% Sodium Hypochlorite.
